Fakhrul, 2 others get bail in vandalism case

BNP leaders Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Mirza Abbas and Gayeshwar Chandra Roy were granted bail in a vandalism case on Wednesday.
All of them surrendered in Metropolitan Sessions Court of Judge KM Imrul Kayes after their bail earlier granted by the High Court expired.
They are accused in a case filed on the charge damaging vehicles on the court premises, attacking and obstructing police from performing their duties while demonstrating for the unconditional
Fakhrul said that the court was forced to grant bail to the ex-AL MP and his wife in cases filed by the ACC. “This incident has proved there is no rule of law in the country. It has also nakedly exposed that the judiciary is not independent here.”
