The BSTI authority has raid different unauthorized Lachcha Semai (vermicelli) factories in Rangpur and fined Tk 100,000. They seized about a tonne of unhealthy semai. A mobile court conducted operation in different areas of Hakimpur upazila of Dinajpur district with the help of upazila administration on the initiative of Rangpur BSTI divisional office from morning till noon on Thursday.
Messrs. Chaber Ali Lachcha Semai Karkhana, Dangapara, Hakimpur, Dinajpur 50 under the relevant section of “Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution Act, 2018” , Messrs. Ekta Lachcha Semai Karkhana, Dangapara, Hakimpur, Dinajpur establishment fined Rs 25,000, Messrs.
Kalam Food Products, Dangapara, Hakimpur, Dinajpur were fined Rs. A total of 1, 1 lakh rupees was fined including 5 thousand rupees.
As well as about 1 May without quality verification. Tons of lachcha semai were seized. The operation was conducted by wise Executive Magistrate Hakimpur Upazila Executive Officer Mohammad Noor-e-Alam. The court was assisted by Field Officer (CM) of Rangpur BSTI Divisional Office Md. Mesbah-ul-Hasan and Inspector Mithun Kabiraj.
