Chess talent of Bangladesh Fide Master M Fahad Rahman shared the top slot with two others in the 14th Dubai Juniors Chess Tournament, the Sheikh Maktoum Bin Hamdan Al Maktoum Cup, after the 7th round matches at the Dubai Chess and Culture Club on Sunday.
With the feat, Fahad brightened his chance to clinch title as he beat joint leader Rahul Srivatshav of India in the 7th round match to share the lead with Rahul Srivatshav and FM Matviishen Viktor of Ukraine.
A total of 110 players from 12 countries are taking part in the nine-round Swiss system tournament that offered prize money of US$10,000.
The top 10 players of the tournament will receive cash prizes, along with the best Emirati and Dubai Chess Club players.
