FM Mohammad Fahad Rahman and Manon Reja Neer secured silver medals as they finished runner-up in the Rapid Chess event of the Western Asia Youth Chess Championship held on Tuesday at Waskaduwa in Sri Lanka. Both events were held in 7 round Swiss-League, FM Fahad and Neer both earned 5.5 points out of 7 games. FM Fahad and Neer both won 5 games, draw 1 game and lost 1 game in whole day rapid event of this championship. Eighteen players from 4 countries participated in Open-14 games group and 21 players from 6 countries participated in Open Under-8 Group.
