Fabio Lopez appointed Bangladesh Nat’l Football team head coach for 4-month

Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) on Thursday announced Fabio Lopez, a goalkeeper-turned coach from Italy, as the Bangladesh National Football team’s new head coach for next four months.
Lopez was named for the hot seat in place of Dutch Lodewijk de Kruif who has been working with the national team on an assignment-based contract since October 2014.
The new coach worked as a scout for different lower division sides in Italy. Besides, he had managerial experience at youth academies of AS Roma in Rome, before earning some coaching experience with BG Sports Club, a Maldivian premier league outfit in Maldives in the 2013-14 season.
Apart from the head coach, BFF also appointed two other Italians Costan Tino Juccarini and Costan Tino Juccarini as assistant and fitness coaches respectively also for four months.
Earlier on Wednesday, Lopez had a short meeting with BFF president Kazi Salahuddin and vice president Tabith Awal as he showed interest to work with Bangladesh national Football team. Finally, he has been appointed following a meeting of the executive committee of BFF.
