Explosives for Madhyapara Granite Mining Co arrive from India

A total of 111 metric tons of explosives for Madhyapara Granite Mining Company Limited of Dinajpur have been imported from India through Benapole port in 8 trucks. The market value of the explosives is 1 crore 53 lakh taka.
On Sunday night, 8 trucks loaded with explosives entered the port’s Transhipment Yard No. 31 through the port of Benapole via Indian Petrapole Port.
On behalf of the importer, the C&F agent AS International submitted the required documents to the Customs House for delivered the consignment of explosives from the Port.
After all formalities at customs and port, these explosives have delivered from the Port on Monday noon. Later, the trucks left Benapole port for Dinajpur, said Kalyan Mitra, Assistant Commissioner, Benapole Customs House.
According to customs sources, Dinajpur Madhyapara Granite Mining Company Limited imported 111 metric tons of explosives from India at a cost of one crore fifty three lakh. On December 30 last year, the same company imported 120 metric tons of explosives in ten trucks.
Benapole Port Director (Traffic) Abdul Jalil said, the explosives were imported from Nagpur, India to conduct the excavation work of Madhyapara Granite Mining Company Limited in Dinajpur. Administrative security has been increased in the port area. All measures have been taken to expedite the delivered the goods.
