Robbers looted valuables from an expatriate’s house at Voraut village in Dakshin Srurma upazila early Sunday.
Locals said a gang of armed robbers numbering 8-10 stormed the house of Karol Miah at about 3:00 am breaking open the door and held the house inmates hostage at gunpoint.Later the hoodlums looted valuables including cash money and 10 tolas of gold ornaments from the house.
Hearing scream of the house inmates, locals rushed in and caught one members-Sobur Miah, and handed over them to police officer-in-charge of Dakshin Surma Police Station, confirmed the incident.
A case was filed in this connection.
