A person allegedly committed suicide at Kattali area under Akbar Shah thana on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Nunto Dey, 29, hailed from the same area.
Alauddin Talukder, ASI of Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) confirmed the news.
He said, Nunto was living abroad and came home last few days ago. This morning he had an altercation with family member over a personal matter and took poison in his room.
