Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun said that mosque and temple-based education is part of the universal education system.
“After the independence of the country, the Father of the Nation had emphasized on education and arranged the education system for all. And so Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman introduced the universal primary education system,” he said.
The minister said this on Thursday while speaking at a virtual discussion on “Temple-Based Children and Mass Education Program-Role of 5th Phase”, said a press release.
The temple-based children and mass education activities are being implemented by the Hindu Religious Welfare Trust under the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
