UNB, Dhaka :
Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad on Thursday said Bangladesh urgently needs to take steps for expanding its labour market abroad to help address the ‘appalling’ unemployment problem in the country.
“The Jatiya Party government had showed the path of manpower export and now we’re earning huge foreign currency through manpower export,” said Ershad urging his followers to set up strong JP wings abroad with Bangladeshi expatriates.
The JP chief, also a special envoy to the Prime Minister, was addressing a views-exchange meeting with JP Kuwait branch leaders at his Banani office, said a party press release.
He also approved the new 71-member JP Kuwait unit formed with Mahbub Ali Haji and M Hazrat Ali Mallik as its president and general secretary respectively.
