The country’s economy has undergone unprecedented progress across all sectors, attracting global praise, said Agriculture Minister, Dr Md Abdur Razzaque.
“The government has been successfully running the country since 2009, ensuring security for the people and bringing peace and stability. Consequently, improvement across all sectors of the economy has been exceptional,” the minister said.
He was speaking during a special extended meeting of the local Awami League at the District Council auditorium in Manikganj on Saturday morning.
No aspect of the economy has been left untouched by the various development initiatives driven by the government. Development in every field is clearly visible, in terms of physical infrastructure, power, education, health, agriculture and information technology, he said.
Dr Razzaque also said, “Politics is for the welfare of the people. We must be actively engaged in the wellbeing of the people and use politics for that purpose.
“There are some workers who commit malfeasance in their own interest and smear the reputation of the party. We must protect our party from them.”
We need to boost the image of the party by continuously working for the welfare of the citizenry, the Minister stressed.
