A bank official surrendered in a Dhaka court in a fraud case filed by his ex-father-in-law seeking bail on Thursday, but the court sent him to the jail rejecting the bail plea.
Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Abu Forkan Md Maruf Chowdhury of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka heard the submissions of the complainant and sent the accused Munsur Uddin in the jail rejecting the bail petition. Md Idris Mia is the complainant of the case and he was present in the courtroom during the hearing.
Accused Md Munsur Uddin is an officer of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited’s Chaktai branch of Chattogram.
Later, Munsur made good relations with Idris Mia. On July 5, 2016, Munsur got married with Sharmin, daughter of Idris Mia. At the request of Munsur, after some incidents, Idris Mia lent his ex-son-in-law Tk 20 lakh to buy a CNG.
But, Munsur denied to have taken the loan, which he received in black and white. Later, on December 11, last year Idris Mia filed the case while the court issued warrant of arrest against the accused. Meanwhile, on November 22, 2018, Munsur divorced his wife.
