Former senior secretary of cultural affairs ministry and prominent sports writer Ranjit Kumar Biswas was cremated at his family crematorium at Pomra village under Rangunia upazila in the district on Sunday evening.
He was cremated at around 7 pm after arrival of his only daughter from Canada, family sources said. Biswas, who hailed from Pomra village of Rangunia upazila, died in a Chittagong city hotel on Thursday at the age of 60. He went on post retirement leave from the post of senior secretary in 2015.
