The fourth death anniversary of former President Zillur Rahman, a veteran politician and Language Movement hero, an organizer of the Liberation War, and one of the close associates of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, will be observed today.
Zillur Rahman died of old-age complications at a Singapore hospital on and took to the street, said Atiqur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge of New Market Police Station.
The students demonstrated chanting slogan in favour of their demand. But, they created no unpleasant incident.
Mohammad Asif, an eye witnessed said, at least two hundred students demonstrated in front the college gate.
Transport movement became normal after the students left the scene around noon.
