UNB, Dhaka :The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) will interrogate former State Minister for Housing and Public Works Abdul Mannan Khan on February 20 next on charge of amassing unusual wealth.The Commission yesterday sent a notice, signed by ACC deputy director Nasir Uddin, to the ex-junior minister asking him to be present in person at the ACC head office at 10 am on the day, ACC public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya told UNB.As per the affidavit submitted to the Election Commission for the last 10th parliamentary polls, the wealth of Mannan has increased to Tk 11 crore in the last five years against the one worth 10.33 lakh in 2008.Earlier, on January 12 last, the ACC launched probes into the allegations of amassing unusual wealth by seven politicians, including Mannan.The ACC appointed seven inquiry officials on January 22 last to conduct probes into the allegations of illegal wealth accumulations by them. The ACC in its first phase is now conducting probes into the graft allegations against former Health Minister Dr AFM Ruhal Haque, former State Minister for Housing and Public Works Abdul Mannan Khan, former State Minister for Water Resources M Mahbubur Rahman, Enamul Haque, MP, (Rajshahi-4), Abdur Rahman Bodi, MP, (Ukhia-Teknaf), Aslamul Haque, MP, (Dhaka-14) and Abdul Jabbar, a former MP, (Satkhira-2).
