Former Joint Secretary Mohammad Shamsuddin, also father-in-law of Agriculture Minister Dr Md Abdur Razzaque, passed away on Monday evening while undergoing treatment at Combined Military Hospital in the city. He was 92.
Shamsuddin is survived by two sons, two daughters and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.
He served the government in different capacities. Shamsuddin was SDO of Dhaka Mahukuma in 1963 and Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Barishal district in 1973-74.
