Court Correspondent :
The Metropolitan Sessions Judge’s Court of Dhaka on Tuesday framed charges against former chief of banned militant outfit Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) Maulana Saidur Rahman in a case lodged for creating subversive activities in 2010.
Judge Kamrul Hossain Mollah today framed charges against Saidur Rahman and two others in the case filed under the Anti-Terrorism Act. Two others are Abdullah Hel Kafi, ehsar (full-time) member of the banned militant outfit and his wife Ayesha Akhter, also an ehsar of JMB.
Saidur Rahman is now in jail custody, pleaded not guilty and demanded justice after the Judge of the Metropolitan Sessions Judge’s Court framed charges against him.
Kafi and Ayesha went into hiding after getting bail from the Court. Charges were framed against the couple in absentia. The court fixed March 15 to record the depositions of the witnesses in the case.
