Ex-army man’s body recovered in Savar

Police recovered the body of a retired employee of the Bangladesh Army in Savar, on the outskirts of Dhaka, on Sunday.
Deceased Fazlul Huque, 50, was a resident of Rahatpur village under Shibaloy Police Station in Manikganj district. He retired around four years ago.
After retirement, he used to work as the bodyguard of Popular Life Insurance Company owner.
Locals spotted his body under the bridge at Birulia area in the morning and then informed police.
Police said the victim’s hands were tied up with mouth gagged.
Fazlul Huque went out of house in Manikganj for going to Dhaka on Saturday afternoon. Later at night, his family member found his mobile phone switched off.
Savar Model Police Station officer in-charge (Investigation) Saiful Islam said the body was recovered and sent to Dhaka Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital morgue.
Filing of a murder case is underway in this connection, the official said.
