Forensic Department has confirmed that the Bogra girl, who was abducted by ruling party men led by former Shramik League leader Tufan Sarker, was raped and tortured.
A medical board headed by AKM Saiful Islam, head of Forensic Medicine Department of Bogra Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital (SZRMCH), examined the girl on Monday and found evidence of rape, said Bogra Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (operations) Abul Kalam Azad, who is also the investigation officer of the case.
Police received the forensic report from the Forensic

Medicine Department of the SZRMCH on Thursday, the IO said.
The report mentioned that the victim was under-aged, the police official said.
Earlier, Tufan admitted raping the girl after promising that he would marry her, he said.
According to the case statement, Tufan raped the girl at his house on July 17. The girl was lured to the house in pretense of signing papers related to her college admissions.
The victim and her mother spoke out about the incident on July 28, after they were subjected to inhuman torture at the house of Tufan’s sister-in-law Marzia Hasan Rumki , a ward councillor of Bogra Municipality.
According to the victims, Rumki summoned them to her residence on that day and Tufan’s wife Asha dragged the duo there. Asha and several cohorts of Tufan tortured the victim and her mother.
Councillor Rumki allegedly abused them verbally, while others shaved the heads of the victim and her mother, and threatened them with an acid attack if they did not leave the district.
