A team led by executive magistrate Gautam Barai and Patenga Circle assistant commissioner (land) and Executive magistrate Ehsan Murad started the drive from Majhirghat area to Sadarghat on the north bank of the river on Wednesday and bulldozed about 200 illegal structures and recovered 10 acres of land till yesterday..
CPA assistant estate manager Shihab Uddin said a total of 30 workers and 30 Ansar members took part in the drive. About 200 Kancha, semi pukka houses and shops have been demolished in the drive so, he added.
