Business Desk :
The Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) of the Bangladesh Bank has not extended the freeze order on the bank accounts of e-commerce platform Evaly.
“Evaly can conduct normal banking activities from now on,” Abu Hena Mohd Razee Hassan, head of BFIU told The Business Standard on Monday.
Earlier on August 27, BFIU under the Bangladesh Bank ordered all commercial banks to freeze the bank accounts of e-commerce platform Evaly for the next 30 days under the Anti-Money Laundering law.
Evaly came into the discussion last month after several media reports on irregularities of its transactions and numerous complaints about not delivering products to the customers timely even after advance payment.
