The inauguration program of the construction work of Female Hostel of Eastern University (EU) was held on Wednesday. Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof Dr Shahid Akhtar Hussain inaugurated the construction work at the university premises situated at Ashulia, Savar. In his speech, Professor Dr Shahid Akhtar Hossain said, `It is my great pleasure for us today. I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the Board of Trustees of Eastern University to initiate this work. He said, the construction work which we just inaugurated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, will be accommodated about 150 Female students. It is a great achievement for us. The Officials of Construction Company and various faculties of the university were present at the inauguration program. Earlier, the construction work of a 10-storey building named `Eastern view dormitory’ for the Male Students of Eastern University was started on 31 October 2020, adjacent the campus of Ashulia.
