Ambassador and Head of the European Union Delegation to Bangladesh Pierre Mayaudon has condemned the attack on Italian doctor and priest Piero Parolari in Dinajpur.
Ambassador Mayaudon urged the Bangladesh government to take adequate measures in an expedited manner to bring both instigators and perpetrators to justice.
“The repetition of such acts of violence is obviously a matter of concern for all,” the envoy said in a statement on Thursday.
Ambassador Mayaudon wished a prompt and full recovery to Piero Parolari.
This is the third incident in less than two months when a foreign national has come under brutal aggression and the second targeting a European citizen, he added.
