One accused named Md. Wasim(35) escaped from the custody of police at Chittagong court premises on Sunday who was later rounded up from Halishahar area under Halishahar thana after midnight of same day.
Police sources said Halishahar thana police led by its Officer Incharge Md. Shahjahan Kabir conducted raid in Suvapur bus station and managed to apprehend him about 1 am on Sunday.
Sources said the accused escaped from the hand of police while he was bringing to jail custody from court premises at about 6 pm after giving his presence before the court in a criminal case. Acting on secret information, police conducted raid in Suvapur bus station after midnight and caught him , sources said.
