Jatiya Party Acting Chairman GM Quader on Tuesday said the health condition of his brother HM Ershad, now undergoing treatment at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH), remained almost unchanged, though he was responding to calls and opened his eyes.
“There’s no remarkable improvement in Ershad’s health condition. He is responding to the calls of relatives and doctors amid drowsiness. Doctors are
considering it as a positive sign,” he said.
GM Quader was speaking at a press conference in the Jatiya Party chairman’s Banani office around 1:00pm.
Contradicting health minister Zahid Malik, he said that Ershad was not put on life support, he was given oxygen only for his respiratory problem.
After vising Ershad at the CMH, the health minister on Monday evening said that the Jatiya Party chairman had been put on life support as his condition turned critical.
GM Quader said that his brother was given oxygen for two hours only. He is how taking breath normally.
The Jatiya Party Acting Chairman said that doctors were still conducting various medical tests on Ershad.
