Ershad alleges massive rigging in UP polls

 JP Chief and Special Envoy to the Prime Minister, HM Ershad has alleged massive irregularities and rigging in the UP election across the country.
Ershad was talking with the journalists on Saturday noon in his Palli Nibash residence at Darshon a of the city. He came to Rangpur in a two-day visit.
He said, some 70 people were elected chairman unopposed in the UP election. Around 10-12 people usually contest in the poll in every unions while there was no contestants. Contestants were dropped from the race in many places giving them warning and intimidation. Many lives were lost centering over the UP election in the country. This is the first time that broke the all past records of the country. The JP Chief said, the Election Commission was afraid of losing job. Local Government Rural Cooperative State Minister Masiur Rhaman Ranga, JP city unit convener, Mostafizur Rhaman Mostafa and local party leaders and activists were present at that moment.
