Due to erosion of old Bharmaputra River a farmer family has been leading a miserable life in Gafagaon.
It is learnt that village of Charalagi Bhatipara of the Charalgi Union has been eroded by Brahmaputra River in 2008. Later , very year, the village started to disappear in the river erosion. Abdul Rashid’s 65-year-old poor farmer was living there with his family at the riverbank and recently his house has almost disappeared.
The cropland also eroded long in the river.At present, poor farmer Abdul Rashid is living in another’ house, cultivating land of others with the help of with his wife and children.
He is seeking the help and cooperation of the rich in the area, including the local UP chairman.
