Entrepreneurship training at DIU

To create more agro-based entrepreneurship, Bangladesh Agro-Processors’ Association (BAPA) organized a 5-day long training program on “Training of Trainers (TOT) program on Entrepreneurship Development and Successful Business Plan”. The inauguration of the training program was held on Sunday at VIP Lounge of Daffodil International University (DIU) to be continued till 20 this month to train up 20 teachers from Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and private institutes who will conduct 360 hours certificate on entrepreneurship development and successful business plan for their students.
Department of Nutrition and food Engineering of DIU organized the program and Financed by the SME Competitiveness Grant Scheme of European Union with Consultancy support of Bangladesh Skill Development Institute (BSDI).
Sushen Chandra Das, Additional Secretary and Project Director of INSPIRED, Ministry of Industries, Bangladesh was present at the program as chief guest while Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, DIU was present at the inauguration program as Special Guest.
Prof Md Moslem Ali, Advisor, BAPA, Md. Zulfikar Ali Haidary, Deputy Secretary and Deputy Project Director of INSPIRED, Ministry of Industries, Bangladesh, Md. Shahabuddin; Sr. Vice President, BAPA and Dr Md. Bellal Hossain, Associate Professor, Department of Nutrition and Food Engineering, DIU and Team Leader of TOT program addressed the program.
Sushen Chandra Das said, with the blessings of the contribution of ICT, the productivity has been increasing day by day. To reduce poverty and inequality we must increase the productivity. He also emphasized to create more entrepreneurship in food processing sector.
While addressing Md. Sabur Khan said that Bangladesh has a plenty of opportunity to create Agro entrepreneurship. To become an entrepreneur money doesn’t matter to start the business. We need the person who has the courage to take challenges in business aspect.
The program was conducted by Roktim Tripura, News Presenter, ETV and Ms. Sumona Mahi, Student, Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of DIU.
