‘Ensure people friendly services’

Land Secretary Md. Muksodur Rahman Patwary said there is no alternative to the practice of integrity in establishing efficient, modern and sustainable land management and ensuring people friendly public services related to land.
He said this while addressing chairing the meeting of Ethics Committee of the Ministry of Land for the preparation of the 1st quarterly report of the National Integrity Strategy Action Plan on the thirteenth instant at the conference room of the Land Ministry, said a press release.
A clear qualitative change has taken place at the (land) ministry level under the leadership of Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury, said the secretary.
“We are in the process of gradually bringing this qualitative change up to the Union Land Office level and we can implement it by practicing integrity”, he added.
The ‘National Integrity Strategy’ was approved by the government of Bangladesh in 2012. To implement this strategy, the National Integrity Advisory Council has been formed under the leadership of the Prime Minister and the Executive Committee of the National Integrity Advisory Council has been formed under the leadership of the Finance Minister, according to the release.
Ethics Committees have been formed in all ministries and divisions and the departments and agencies under those to implement the Integrity Strategy.
All the ministries and divisions of the government formulate strategies for the implementation of this Integrity Strategy.
Among others, Additional Secretaries of the ministry and other officials, including the heads of various agencies under the Land Ministry were present at the meeting.
