The National Productivity Day was observed in Gopalganj through colourful programmes on Wednesday.
On the Occasion of the day, District Administration Gopalganj brought out a colourful rally and chanting slogan. The rally paraded main roads in the city. Members of Gopalganj Chambers of Commerce, Gopalganj Municipality, Teachers and Students and other officials attended the rally.
After rally a discussion meeting was held at Gopalganj District Administration Conference room premises. Shahida Sultana Deputy Commissioner (DC), Gopalagnj presided over the discussion meeting as the Chief guest.
Among others Kazi Sohidul Islam, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC General), Abdullah Al Masud, Senior Assistant Police Super, Gopalganj, Chayan Biswas, Assistant General Manager, BSCIC, Gopalganj, Asif Mahmud, Promotion Officer, BSCIC, Gopalganj, Masud Rana, Urban Industrial Officer, Subrato Kumer Kundu, Computer Instructor, BSCIC, Gopalganj, Paresh Dutta, Instructor of Refreezeration, BSCIC, Gopalganj, Yakub Ali Sarder, Assistant Account Officer, BSCIC, Gopalganj, Mohammad Mossarof Hossain, President, Gopalganj Chambers of Commerce, BSCIC Industries Owners Association, were spoken on the occasion.
Staff Reporter from Kishoreganj says: Kishoreganj District Administration including Kishoreganj Chamber of Commerce and Industry arranged a colourfullrally, discussion, seminar and cultural function marking the National Productivity Day on Wednesday.
The theme of the day this year is “Productivity for Global Competitiveness”.
A discussion meeting was held at local collectorate conference room on Wednesday morning. Additional Deputy Commissioner Abdullah-al-Masud presided over the meeting.
It was addressed among others by Chamber President Mujibur Rahman Belal, Prof M A Goni, CAB District President Alam Sarowar Tito, its Vice-President Bilkis Begum, District Press Club President Mostafa Kamal, Chamber leader Md. Alauddin Master, Sehikh Farid and Md. Kamrul Islam of BISIC.
ADC (G) Abdullah-al-Masud said that productivity is an essential part of national economy. It accelerated production, savings, investment and employment opportunities.
CAB District President Alam Sarowar Tito said, it is important to ensure optimum quality of goods and services for sustainable development. To do this there is no alternative to increase productivity in every economic sector.
Later, a colourfull rally brought out in the town marking the day.
BSS from Gaibandha reports: The National Productivity Day was observed in the district as elsewhere in the country on Wednesday aiming to creating mass awareness to raise productivity in all fields including industrial, agricultural and service sectors.
This year’s theme of the day is “Productivity for Global Competitiveness”.
Marking the day, the district administration and Gaibandha Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) chalked out the programmes.
In the morning, a grand rally was brought out from the premises of District Collectorate Building here and ended at the office of GCCI after parading the main roads of the town.
Earlier, acting deputy commissioner Rokhsana Begum formally inaugurated the rally as the chief guest.
Later, a discussion meeting was also held at the conference room of GCCI of the town here with its president Shajada Anwarul Quadir in the chair
Additional deputy commissioner (General) Alamgir Kabir Saikat addressed the function as the chief guest and district livestock officer Mohammed Abdus Samad was present at the event as the special guest.
Moderated by assistant commissioner SM Foyez Uddin, the function was also addressed, among others, by senior vice president of GCCI Abdur Rashid, director Rafiqul Islam Suzon, and journalist Sarker M. Shahiduzzaman.
The speakers in their speeches underscored the need for increasing productivity, economic stability and ensuring sustainable development and growth to take the country ahead.
Productivity improvement has been considered as the most important factor for the national economy and it accelerates the development on overall economy of the country, they also said.
Additional deputy commissioner (General) Alamgir Kabir Saikat in his speeches said productivity plays an important role to increase production, savings, investments and employment opportunities to the people of the country.
Recent performance in economic growth and changes in social indicators of Bangladesh have drawn the attention of the global economist, political and business community, the DC added.
The government is committed to achieve the sustainable development goals, declared by the United Nations, by 2030 and to achieve this goal there is no alternative other than increasing productivity in all sectors; he said adding that awareness on productivity among the mass people is very essential. A large number of people including govt. officials, businessmen, and journalists of print and electronic media took part in the programmes spontaneously.
BSS from Rangpur adds: Enhancing productivity in all sectors has become crucial to face global challenges as Bangladesh has emerged as a country for role model for development.
Officials, industrialists and leaders of trade bodies made the observation on WEdnesday at a post-rally discussion organised on the occasion of the National Productivity Day- 2019.
The district administration and Rangpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) brought out the rally followed by exhibition of quality products at 25
stalls set up by local entrepreneurs. After the rally, a discussion was held at RCCI auditorium in the city.
Deputy Commissioner Md. Asib Ahsan inaugurated an exhibition of locally produced export quality goods, visited exhibited products at different stalls and addressed the discussion as the chief guest.
Presided over by President of RCCI Mostafa Sohrab Chowdhury Titu, officials, chamber leaders, industrialists, entrepreneurs, students, teachers, civil society members, journalists and local elite attended the programmes. The chief guest said the present government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is committed to build a middle income Bangladesh by 2021. “We must work sincerely in the industrial, service providing and othersectors to enhance productivity and produce world standard quality goods to
increase export volume for earning foreign currency,” he added.
RCCI President Titu stressed the need for producing technologically skilled human resources to enhance productivity in the industrial,
agriculture, service-providing and all other sectors to build a middle income country by 2021 and developed country by 2041.
