England rout Namibia by 203 runs in 5th place playoff

Jack Burnham’s century helped England notch a 203-run victory over Namibia in the 5th place deciding playoff semifinal of the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup at Khan Saheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah on Wednesday.
Replying to England’s total of 286 runs, Namibia finished their innings at 83 for all 25.2 overs.
Lohan Louwrens (24 off 39b; 2×4, 1×6), Zean Green (13 off 29b; 2×4) and Chrischen Olivier (10 off 40b; 1×4) were the double figure scorers for Namibia.
Mason Crane grabbed three wickets for super economic 3 runs in 3.2 overs while Dan Lawrence and George Garton took two wickets for seven and 18 runs.
Sent in to bat first in the fog-interrupted curtailed 48-over match, England scored 286 for 9 in 48 overs spurred by the brilliant 2nd wicket stand of 170 in 29.1 overs between Tom Moores and Jack Burnham.
The pair started from 26/1 in 5.2 overs and ended up at 196/2 in 34.3 overs as Moores was bowled out by Fritz Coetzee.
Burnham who was adjudged man of the match, hammered 10 boundaries and three sixes on the way to his century of 109 off 123 balls and was caught by Warren van Wyk off F Coetzee delivery, leaving team total at 257/6 in 45 overs.
Moores was out for 85 of f 96balls featuring 11 boundaries and two sixes.
Delivering 10 overs each, F Coetzee bagged three wickets for 72 runs while Burton Jacobs took two wickets for 58 runs.
