Enclaves’ students also to get cost free books : Nahid

Education minister Nurul Islam Nahid said, new books will be given to the students of enclaves also on the day of textbook giving ceremony next year.
The minister said this while addressing the opening ceremony of distribution and marketing of three eleventh grade books for the session 2015-16 as the chief guest the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) Auditorium on Wednesday.
He also said, distribution of free textbooks for the students of class one to ten was began from 2010. This year, 33 crore books have been given.
Informing that, 35 crore free books will be distributed to the students in the first of 2016 from class one to ten, the Education Minister said, the students of enclaves will be covered under this programme.
Mentioning the implementation of enclaves exchange agreement through Mujib-Indira Agreement, the Education Minister said, children of enclaves must go to school in the respective areas.
We will try to establish schools where there is no school.
In connection to that, he ordered the concerned district education officers to collect the student’s data for the distribution of books in enclaves.
