FIDE master Mahfuzur Rahman Emon emerged unbeaten champion in the 12th monthly Rapid Rating Chess competition held on Friday at National Pubic School College in the city’s Uttara, said a Uttara Central Chess Club press release on Saturday.
Emon emerged champion with six points while Sohel Chowdhury and Mahtab Uddin finished runners-up and third position respectively.
Uttara Central Chess Club advisor Kabi Anwar Majid was present as the chief guest and distributed the prizes among the winners after competition.
A total of 51 chess players took part in the day-long meet organized by Uttara Central Chess Club.
