Police recovered body of an elderly woman from her own house in Mirpur area on Thursday afternoon.
The deceased Shahnaz Begum, 65, was the owner of the five-storey building located at Road No-6 in the area, said Dadan Fakir, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Mirpur Police Station.
On information, police recovered the body with her hands and legs tied up

The deceased Shahnaz Begum, 65, was the owner of the five-storey building located at Road No-6 in the area, said Dadan Fakir, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Mirpur Police Station.
On information, police recovered the body with her hands and legs tied up
from the ground floor of the house around 1:00 pm, the police official said.
Shahnaz’s daughter along with her family members lives in the Second floor while her son in the third floor and their mother used to live in the ground floor of the house alone, the OC said.
Alongside this, some tenants live on the rest floors of the house, he said according to the family members of the deceased.
Police are investigating the incident to unearth the mystery of death, the OC said. A case has been filed with the police station in this regard, he added.
