An elderly man was killed and his son injured in a clash between two rival groups over a land-related dispute at Sinduria Boruria village at Aminpur in Sujanagar upazila of the district on Friday noon.
The deceased was identified as Sohrab Molla,65, son of late Abu Taher Molla, a resident of the village.
Inspector (Investigation) of Aminpur Police Station Mofijul Haque said Sohrab Molla and Mati, also a resident of the village, had long been at loggerheads over the ownership of a piece of land.
