UNB, Gaibandha :
A man was stabbed to death allegedly by his younger brother at Monoharpur village in Palshbari upazila on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Saidur Rahman, 45, of the village.
Quoting locals, police said there had been altercation between Saidur and his brother Chan Mia as a goat of Chan Mia ate up the paddy at Saidur’s field around 8 am.
At one stage, Chan Mia hit Saidur with a sharp weapon on his chest, leaving him dead on the spot, said Mashruqur Rahman Khaleque, superintendent of Gaibandha Police.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to local hospital morgue for autopsy.
Meanwhile, Chan Mia went into hiding.
