One Aziz Fakir (55) was killed in the hands of his younger sister Khusu alias Kusu Begum (45) in the village Tengrakhali under Kachua Upazila in Bagerhat district on Monday night. Aziz Fakir was the son of one late Aftab Fakirh of the village.
It is learnt from the police and the locals that at the night deceased Aziz Fakir held a meeting in the open yard of his house with his brother and sisters for sharing out their paternal properties among themselves. But suddenly it turned into a scuffle and one stage Khusu Begum; the younger sister collected a heavy stick and struck the head of her elder brother Aziz Fakirh with it. As a result Aziz Fakir was fatally injured and fell on the ground. He was rushed to the Upazila Health Complex where the doctor on duty declared him dead. Police recovered the dead body and sent it to Bagerhat Sadar Hospital for its autopsy.
