A court here on Wednesday framed charges against eight people in connection with the killing of four children at Sundratiki village in Bahubal upazila of Habiganj district.
Habiganj District and Session Judge and Women and Child Repression Prevention Tribunal acting Judge Mohammad Atabullah passed the order and fixed September 26 for
recording the statements of the witnesses. The accused are- Abdul Ali Bagal, Jewel Mia, Habibir Rahman Arju, Rubel Mia, Shahed alias Sayed, Billal, Ustar and Babul Mia. Of the accused, five are now in jail while the three others absconding.
The court also rejected the bail plea of Habibur Rahman Arju when his lawyer filed a petition before the court.
Earlier, on May 25, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) pressed charges against eight people in connection with the killing of four children in Bahubal upazila.
Four schoolboys who had gone missing from Sundrateki village in Bahubal upazila on February 12 were found buried at the village on February 17.
