The eight participating clubs of upcoming Sheikh Kamal International Gold Cup was finalized on Sunday. Three local clubs and five foreign clubs will take part in the gala football meet. Bangladesh Premier League champions Dhaka Abahani Limited, traditional club Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited, hosts Chittagong Abahani Limited, FC Poechen of South Korea, Shaheen Asmae of Afghanistan, TC Sports of Maldives and Stallion FC of Philippines will compete in the tournament.
The mega football extravaganza will take place at the MA Aziz Stadium in Chittagong.
The football competition begins on February 18 and will come to an end on March 2.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is the Chief Patron of the football tournament, while President of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) and President of South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Kazi Salahuddin is the Adviser of the 39-member organizing committee. Mayor of Chittagong City Corporation AJM Nasir Uddin is the Chairman of the organizing committee.
