Staff Reporter :Eid-ul-Azha, the second largest religious festival of the Muslims, will be celebrated on 13 September as the moon of the Holy month of Zilhajj was not sighted in the country on Friday.Bazlul Haque Haroon, the Chief of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Religious Affairs Ministry, came up the announcement after a meeting of the National Moon-Sighting Committee at the Islamic Foundation in the evening.Religious Affairs Secretary Md Abdul Jalil was also present there.Haroon said, the month of Zilhajj will start on Sunday as the Moon-Sighting Committee received no report of the moon sighting anywhere in Bangladesh.So, the Eid will be celebrated on Sept 13, the 10th of Zilhajj, marking the end of Hajj pilgrimage.In Saudi Arabia and other Middle East countries, the Eid-ul-Azha will be celebrated on Sept 12. The Hajj rituals will start on Sept 11.
