Eid-ul-Azha on Oct 6

The nation will celebrate Eid-ul-Azha, the second biggest religious festival of the Muslims, on October 6, as the Zilhaj moon was not sighted in the country on Thursday.  
Religious Affairs Minister Matiur Rahman made the announcement at a press briefing at the Islamic Foundation office at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in Dhaka on Thursday evening.
The National Moon Sighting Committee took the decision at a meeting after reviewing the reports received from different parts of the country.
The minister, who was the president of the Moon Sighting Committee, chaired the meeting.
