BSS, Dhaka :
Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu yesterday said the celebration of Eid-ul-Azha was a demonstration of people’s bravery that has not only frustrated militants but also gave them a strong message of national unity against their terror acts.
“Again it is proven that there is no room for militancy in Islam,” Inu said while talking to journalists at Bangladesh Secretariat marking the first working day after Eid holidays. Inu said the people of this part of world have been practicing Islam peacefully over eight hundred years with communal harmony. This time too, he said, the Muslims have again proved their unity against extremists who want to misinterpret the religion and impose their mad ideas on others forcefully instead of logic. The minister also expressed the hope that the people of this country- irrespective of their caste, creed and religion- would stay together and keep the wheels of life and livelihood moving.
