The extra ordinary general meeting of the Board of Directors of the proposed Deep Sea Fishing Association of Bangladesh (DSFAB) was held at its corporate office in Dhaka, says a press release.
Sheikh Asgar Noskar, Proprietor of Galaxy Trading Corporation shall be the first President of the proposed association. The first Board of Directors shall comprise with Md Helal Khan(Senior Vice President, KM Mosaddek Ali (Vice President), Mahabubur Rahman (Secretary General) and Md Rafiqul Haider Bhuiyan, Fardaous Ahamad Badal, Md Mizanur Rahman as directors.
The association is a non-profit organization which will be solely devoted towards the promotion of trade and commerce and represent the common interests of the various fishers, fish farmers, fish traders, fisheries, entrepreneurs, shippers, carriers, charterers, firms, companies, individuals, fisheries’ workers, ship owners, fisheries engaged I carrying out fishing, shipping, carriage, cargo handling, export and import activities in and/or to and from the “Blue Economic Zone” which is a 1, 18, 813 Square kilometers of area and includes 200 nautical miles of exclusive economic zone and over 354 nautical miles of resources on seabed continental shelf at the Bay of Bengle.
