Efforts on to bring back Nur: Asaduzzaman

State Minister for Home Affairs Asaduzzaman Khan on Saturday said they are engaged in frequent talks with India to bring back the prime suspect of Narayanganj seven-murder case, Nur Hossain, from Kolkata under the extradition treaty between the two countries.
Speaking at a press briefing while inspecting Kashimpur Central Jail, he said, “We aren’t even wasting an hour… will bring Nur Hossain back home very soon.”
Earlier, the State Minister met the prisoners at the Darbar of Kasimpur Central Jail and expressed satisfaction over the atmosphere in the jail. Nur Hossian, a Narayanganj city Awami League leader and also a councillor, and some of his associates remained absconding following the abduction and killing of Narayanganj city panel mayor Nazrul Islam, lawyer Chandan Sarker and five others in April last.
An anti-terrorism squad of the Kolkata police arrested Nur and several of his aides from the Indraprastha apartment complex at Baguiati near Dum Dum Airport about 11:30pm IST on Saturday.
