Campus Report :East Delta University (EDU) team became the runner up in social business youth contest. Eastern University has recently organized the `social business youth convention 2014′, at its own campus in the capital. A total of 30 teams from 20 public and private universities took part the contest. Nobel Laureate Prof Dr Muhammad Yunus handed over the awards to the winners as chief guest. Tasnia Zahir, Nazeha Ifrath, Fahima Haroon, Fatema Munir and Zaheida Karim, members of EDU team, won the runner up position for their plan titled `eco containers, re-introducing jute to the world’. EDU Vice Chairman Sayeed Al Noman welcomed the students, contestants and participants. EDU also won the social business plan competition last year arranged by Yunus Centre.
