Edexcel team calls on UGC Chairman

Edexcel is interested in opening up Cross Border Higher Education (CBHE) study centre in Bangladesh in collaboration with Bangladeshi academic institutions.
The interest was shown when a-3 member Edexcel delegation led by Simon Young, Regional Director-Asia Pearson (Edexcel) called on UGC Chairman (State Minister) Professor Dr. A K Azad Chowdhury at the latter’s office on Thursday. Other members of the delegation included Saidu Rahman, Country Manager, Bangladesh, Edexcel and Shahin Reza Regional Development Manager, Edexcel. From UGC side, UGC Member Professor Dr. Abul Hashem, Professor Dr. Md. Akhtar Hossain and UGC Secretary Dr. Md. Khaled, among others, were present during the meeting.
UGC Chairman said that UGC always look forward to broadening the arena of education including higher education. He assured the delegation of extending an all out cooperation on behalf of the UGC in this regard.
Pearson Qualifications (Edexcel) is the largest qualifications awarding body in the UK, officers academic, vocational and professional qualifications in the UK and internationally over 100 countries.
