ECB security delegation in city

The security delegation of England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) arrived in the city on Wednesday. The security delegation of ECB will have meetings with local security agencies, the officials of American Embassy, the officials of British High Commission, and the officials of Australian High Commission.
The security delegation will also meet with Minister for Home Affairs Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal.
The members of the ECB security delegation are: Director Operations of ECB John Carr, Security Advisor of ECB Reg Dickason and Chief Executive of PCA David Leatherdale.
England National Cricket team are scheduled to arrive in the city on September 30 to play three One Day International (ODI) matches and two Test matches against their counterpart Bangladesh National Cricket team.
The security delegation of ECB will visit Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah, MA Aziz Stadium in Chittagong and Zahur Ahmad Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong. The security delegation of ECB will inspect the security system of those venues. Then the security delegation of ECB will submit the total security measurement report to ECB.
The fate of the upcoming tour of England Cricket team will be depended on that report. Though it is a routine visit of the security delegation of ECB but it is very important for Bangladesh’s cricket as the report of the security team of ECB will decide either England Cricket team will tour Bangladesh or not.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Nizamuddin Chowdhury Sujan said, ” BCB will manage high profile security system during the tour of England. If ECB requires something more, we shall arrange that.”
