The Election Commission (EC) will sit with 13 political party’s technical teams as part of exhibiting Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) to the political leaders on Sunday.
EC will sit with the leaders at 3.00 pm in the constitutional body’s Agargoan head office in the capital.
This meeting is the part of showing EVM to IT (Information Technology) experts and also to the political parties’.
EC’s Joint Secretary and Director (Public Relation) SM Asaduzzaman said, the EC will sit with registered 39 political parties’ IT expert teams to exhibit the EVM’s function and to identify its fault (if any).
He said EC has asked them by issuing letter to each party for sending a four members technical team to scrutiny the EVM. On the first day 13 political parties will join.
According to EC schedule, the dates are 19, 21, 28 June.
Jatiya Party (JPA) Jatiya Party-JP, Krishak Sramik Janata League, Bangladesh National Awami Party, Bangladesh Jatiya Party-BJP, Jaker Party, Bangladesh Muslim League, Gono Forum, Gono Front, Bangladesh Jatiya Party, Bangladesh Nationalist Front-BNF, Nationalist Democratic Movement -NDM and Bangladesh Congress will join today’s meeting.
