EBL Employee Photo Exhibition held

A 3-day exhibition featuring 54 photographs on the theme ‘People and Places’ by Eastern Bank Ltd (EBL) employee ends at Drik Gallery, in the city on Saturday.
Asaduzzaman Noor, MP; Minister for Cultural Affairs, inaugurated the photo exhibition on Thursday. Ali Reza Iftekhar, MD and CEO of EBL was present among others.
Ali Reza Iftekhar in his welcome speech said, ‘EBL employees are our greatest asset. Many of them possess unique talents. The competition is designed to spot the latent talents in them and connect them emotionally with the brand EBL.’
Earlier 229 entries featuring the nuances of everyday life, the beauty and splendor of people and hue of the places were received from EBL employees for 2015 photo contest. A jury board comprising internationally renowned photographer Anwar Hossain, Munira Morshed Munni and Hasan S. Chandan selected 12 best images for the EBL 2016 calendar.
Three employees were selected for awards. End of the Day, by Ashiqur Rahman of Chawk Mughultuly Branch, won him the first prize. Md Antar Zaman’s poignant image Team Strength gave him the second prize. He is from Alternative Distribution Channel. Rifaat Nasrin’s Curiosity has No Age limit won her the third prize. She is from Corporate Banking- Dhaka.
EBL as a part of their employee engagement programme launched the annual photo contest in 2012.
