East Zone-South Zone BCL match ends in a draw

The four-day match between Islami Bank East Zone and Prime Bank South Zone of 6th Bangladesh Cricket League ended in a draw at BKSP ground in Savar on Friday.
Back with a huge 151 runs first innings lead, East Zone started their second innings on the fourth day (Friday) and scored 93 for 4 at stumps with Liton Kumar with 51 and Alok Kapali with 3 on the crease.
Former national spinner Abdur Razzak claimed three wickets of East Zone by giving 41 runs.
Earlier, Sohag Gazi grabbed a five-wicket haul as Prime Bank South Zone were all out in their first innings at 395, after resuming their overnight score at 318 for 5.
The two overnight batsmen Al Amin (49 n.o) and Qazi Nurul (47) showed resistance but South Zone failed to fight back losing wickets in regular intervals after their departure.
Apart from Gazi’s five wickets haul for 86 runs, Nazmul Apu picked up three wickets conceding 127 runs.
Earlier, East Zone piled up a massive total of 546 for all in their first innings.
East Zone skipper Mominul Haque was named the player of the match for his impressive double century in the first innings.
